1.Your product

1.1. This document includes:

  • The general terms and conditions
  • A benefits section which explains what is covered under each of the benefits and any conditions that apply specifically to them
  • Our contact information

    1.2. This document, any sales calls and your Membership Schedule make up the legal contract between you and RoadCover. Call recordings will be provided on your request.

    1.3. These documents and any future endorsements should be read as one document.

    1.4. Please read through these documents to make sure that you understand your benefits and that all the information that we have for you is correct. We suggest that you keep all your membership documents in a safe and handy place for reference at any time.

    1.5. Please contact us if any of the details need to be changed. All our contact details can be found under the contact information schedule.

    1.6. RoadCover is not an insurance product or a financial service.

    2. The parties of this contract

    2.1. The RoadCover Plan is powered by RoadCover and administered by RC VAS DIRECT (Pty) Ltd,

    2.2. ‘We’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refers to RoadCover.

    2.3. ‘You’ and ‘your’ refer to the Member and any other people who have rights under this policy. In the specific conditions which apply to each benefit, we tell you who is covered. Only these people have rights under this policy.

    3. Cancellation of your membership

    3.1. You may cancel this membership by giving us 30 days’ notice.

    3.2. We may cancel this membership by giving you 30 days’ written notice.

    4. Payment of your membership fee

    4.1. We will administer and collect your monthly membership fee via debit order. We will send a payment instruction to your bank to collect the membership fee from your bank account.

    4.2. This debit order instruction will stay in force until you cancel it.

    4.3. Your benefits will start when you have paid your first membership fee.

    4.4. Your debit order will be processed monthly on the date shown on your Membership Certificate.

    4.5. If you have not given us a preferred debit date, we will debit your account on the 1st day of the month.

    4.6. There is a 7-day no obligation period from commencement of the membership, should you cancel the membership within 7-days of taking it out, all collected fees will be refunded to you.

    4.7. Your membership fee is due each month to ensure that you can enjoy the benefits of your RoadCover product.

    4.8. If the debit order collection date falls on a weekend or public holiday, we will debit your bank account on the first working day before or after the weekend or public holiday.

    4.9. If any debit order instruction is rejected because of insufficient funds, we will attempt to debit the bank account again before the following month’s collection or we will collect both the current and previous month’s fees as double debit in the following month. If we can collect the membership fee, your cover will continue.

    4.10. If the payment is not received for two months in a row, your benefits will end on the last day of the previous paid-up month.

    4.11. If you stop the debit order directly with your bank, your benefits will end on the last day of the previous paid-up month.

    4.12. We will not provide any services unless you pay us the membership fees that are due for the period of cover.

    4.13. Your membership will be cancelled if a debit order is returned or a payment is stopped.

    4.14. If you have missed a payment historically, we could move your debit collection to an alternate date to make sure that your membership stays up to date so that you continue to enjoy your membership benefits.

    4.15. We may decide to change the membership fees at any time. We will tell you at least 30 days before the change happens via email, SMS, postage or telephonically.

    5. Honesty

    5.1. All dealings between you and us must be done honestly.

    5.2. We will not accept any responsibility if you or any person acting for you is dishonest or misrepresents any information.

    6. Your privacy

    6.1. We respect the confidentiality of your personal information. We may however share your information with any outside service providers who help us to manage your benefits. This will only ever be done as allowed by the relevant privacy legislation.
