As South Africans prepare to take to the roads this Easter, the national conversation will once again focus on road safety, traffic volumes and inevitably the number of lives lost. But what happens after the headlines fade?

Following a tragic road accident involving children earlier this week, RoadCover has extended its heartfelt condolences to the affected families, schools and communities, while renewing its call for greater public awareness around the Road Accident Fund (RAF) and the support it provides to victims and their loved ones.

The Road Accident Fund (RAF) has recently joined a host of other state-owned entities receiving negative press. It’s understandable, then, that South Africans would lose their faith in the organisation. However, the reality is that the RAF has helped hundreds of thousands of South Africans recover both physically and emotionally after traumatic road accidents, and it continues to do so
